(414) 258-2TAN Why is a Sun Capsule VHR tan a “gentle tan”? Every sunlamp contains both UVA and UVB rays. UVA is the sun’s tanning ray,
and UVB is its burning ray. Most “fast” tanning beds use very high amounts
of UVB (as much as 9%) for shorter tanning sessions. This means more burning
than browning. The Cosmolux VHR sunlamp used in the Sun Capsule VHR uses extremely
high UVA and very low UVB (2.6%). So you get the richest, darkest, most “gentle” tan
without the burn. Can I get a darker tan in the Sun Capsule VHR? The Sun Capsule’s Cosmolux VHR tanning lamps deliver almost four times the
UVA of a conventional tanning system. Basically, the higher the UVA, the
darker the tan. There’s nothing on the market today that will give you the
same results. How is it possible to get a rich, dark tan with such short exposure times? Not only are the Cosmolux VHR lamps more powerful, there are more of them.
Conventional sunlamps produce 100 watts of power, so a 24-lamp bed would
produce 2,400 watts of power. Comparatively, the 160 watt Cosmolux VHR lamp
produces almost 200 watts of power when used in the Sun Capsule VHR 200.
Multiply that by 60 lamps and the results is about 12,000 watts of power. How long does it take to get a great tan? The average person develops a rich, dark tan after four or five sessions,
but most people see some color after the first or second session. How frequent should my sessions be to maintain a dark tan? Once you’ve developed the tan you desire, you can usually maintain it with
just two sessions per week. This varies slightly depending on the skin type.
In any case, don’t exceed one session every 24 hours and strive to tan only
once every 48 hours. The tanning process is actually more effective when
your skin gets proper rest between sessions. What is the difference between the Sun Capsule VHR tan and that of a tanning
bed?
Because the UVA is more than three times higher, you will develop a
noticeably darker, richer tan from the Sun Capsule VHR than from a
conventional tanning beds in about 1/3 the time. What are the benefits of vertical tanning over horizontal tanning?
An obvious benefit is hygiene. With Sun Capsule’s massive cooling system,
it’s virtually a sweat-free environment. Another benefit is a seamless tan.
While traditional tanning beds leave white areas under your arms and along
your sides, the Sun Capsule’s lamps surround you for a more even, all-around
tan. Why is the Sun Capsule VHR the ultimate tanning experience? Step into a Sun Capsule VHR push the “start” button, and things begin to
happen. You’re instantly blanketed with 12,000 watts of pure tanning power.
It’s as intense as standing on a tropical beach in the middle of the
afternoon. Simultaneously, a large overhead fan begins pulling air through
the specially designed floor at a rate of 6,000 cubic feet per minute,
creating an 18-mph breeze that totally surrounds you. It’s fun. It’s cool.
It’s the ultimate tanning experience.
